I have been told that I fit the profile of someone with RA...so I was just wondering about all of yall out there...
1. are you petite or short?
2. What is your ethnic background?
3. Do other family members have RA or other rheumatic ds.?
I am just interested to see if any of us have a common thread.
I am under 5 ft tall, Italian, and I have several people with RA in my family, also OA, MS, and osteoporosis. I'm 5'2", English background and no one in the family has RA although several have OA. Go figure Pam I have been told that I fit the profile of someone with RA...so I was just wondering about all of yall out there... 1. are you petite or short? (5'6") 2. What is your ethnic background? (American) (mostly German and English and probably more) 3. Do other family members have RA or other rheumatic ds.? (not that I know of~mother had several years with psoriasis. I have/had horrible plaque psoriasis for 15 plus years off and on and now as of the summer of 2005 been diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis. Both under control. The psoriasis by way of Elidel and the PA with the "love of my life" Enbrel)

1. are you petite or short? 2. What is your ethnic background? 3. Do other family members have RA or other rheumatic ds.?[/quote] Tall/ 5'7" caucasain RA runs rampid thru my mom's side of the family (mom, grandma, aunts, uncles, grandmas sisters etc) I believe in the hereditary link. I'm 5' 5" English/Irish None of my family members have RA I am 5'5". Caucasian My great aunt had RA. Susan I'm 5', chex/german. No RA but my brother has ulcerative colitis.which is an autoimmune ds. My mom, dad, all brothers and sisters 7 in all have OA. Interesting!!!! Pat 5'5" - German/Irish/Native American/English - no one in my family has ever had RA. I'm 5' 7" English (thru and thru!) I've been told that my paternal Grandmother had some form of RA for about 2-3 years after the birth of a child, which 'burnt' itself out. That would have been the thirties though and of course not much would have been known about it 1, 5'4 smaller than most members of my family 2 British all my family come from here. 3 I'm the only RA sufferer in my family. My great gran has OA but she is 94, so thats understandable. i am 4' 11" part american indian, part scandanavian unsure of family history for i was adopted at birth & my birth mother doesn't have the info. I'm 5'4 and petite/slight White/British My paternal aunt has Lupus SLE I'm also 5'4 in the neighborhood of 120lbs. Give or take a few pounds depending on the month I guess. My Grandmother was crippled with OA in her later years....but I suspect it was undiagnoised RA.
I'm English/German/Scots
If my family members had RA, they weren't diagnosed, but they've had
lots of other autoimmune diseases.
I'm 6 foot. Have Irish on one side and a mix of English, Czech, and german/polish on the other side. My Irish paternal grandmother had RA, my sister has Raynaud's and my mom, her mom, and grandmom have/had RA problems later in life (60's). I'm 43 and just diagnosed, but have shown some signs and symptoms for a few years.
