I am having MCP replacement in April. On my right hand, index and middle fingers, and wondered if anyone here has experience of this procedure. How long did you have to take off work after the operation? Did you have a splint (static or dynamic?) and how did you cope with it. Did the surgery have a good effect and is your range of movement better or the same as you had before the surgery.
Sorry for all the questions, really could do with having my mind put at rest over this.

I am possibly facing two in the future, but everything is okay for right now.
My OT said that she has several patients who have had it done and they are doing remarkably well.
Sorry, but that is about all I know but after talking to her I felt much better about the having it done.
