Anyone have thoughts on the best athletic shoes for someone with bad knees? I have read different opinions that say cushioning is best and others that say hard bottoms are best. So am looking for ideas for people who have found what works for them. ThanksHi Linda, I have found New balance mens to be the best for me and I have had a podiatrist make me an orthotic designed by my pain specialist with metatarsal arch bar supports, a supportive arch area and cushioned heels for heel spurs. This has worked best for mewhen actuallytrying to walk for exercise but for sheer comfort, you can't beat Rivers crocs and there is a difference between those and the cheaper brands as per my podiatrist.
