To Hikin Girl & everyone who has asked me for a photo of Clyde,

Here is one when I first got him & one I took yesterday (you can see where his hair hasn't grown back yet from the operation).

HG I hope you can post a pic of your boy soon ???

Cheers,
Maz Oh he's precious!  WHAT operation????

Early June I noticed a slight limp on the right leg - anyway long saga but he has had 2 major operations - the first a BURP procedure (cutting the biscep tendon) with no result, then he had a CT Scan which showed a 1-1/2 mm chip (finally a diagnosis);  he had the op to remove the chip & the vet surgeon noticed a step where the one of the leg bones sat higher than the other (most probably a genetic fault) so he took about 6-7mm off the Ulna to drop it down & take the pressure off the elbow.  It comes under the umbrella of being diagnosed with 'Elbow Dysplasia' it's a bit like us when Dr's diagnose 'Arthritis' but we know there are different types of arthritis with different symptoms, it's the same with Clyde's diagnosis.  Anyway - 5 mths, 2 operations & a bucket of money later as of yesterday the Vet Surgeon said we have 98% success, it's been 6 wks last Frid since the last operation - it can't be 100% success  because he doesn't have a perfect elbow anymore, we can hope it stays at 98% & the vet & I are thrilled with the outcome.

Maz-aust2009-11-23 16:31:47Good news Maz. Maz - what a wonderful person you are to help this beautiful dog. To me, that says so much about you.

Reason to celebrate!

Oh, he is adorable, Maz!!

you betcha !!

Those doggies always make me laugh cause they look funny to me. I think it's probably the length of their doggy faces and how the hair goes around the noses. Quiry --- !! ???

Like what, give me an example & I am sure I can tell you about his quirkyness !!

Quirky.  You know, strange but funny. I had a cat who used to get in the shower with me, but sit behind the curtain so he wouldn't get wet. LOL [QUOTE=CO_Mel]Quirky.  You know, strange but funny. That is so funny.  Cats do not like the water so he must have been a big time buddy.

Maz...Clyde looks like he is coming along nicely.  What a beautiful pup.  Time to get a picture of Juno again.  We are dogsitting this weekend.
Oh you mean like when he accidentally stands on Gypsy (remember he is 28 kilos & she is only 9) she arcs up & growls at him & he runs & hides under the water tank & won't come out !

or, always lies down to eat !!  & tips the food bowl so all the food is on the side he is at so he can just lick it without getting up !

or, will hunt & hunt until he finds 'boot' (squeaky toy) or frog or moose (soft toys) & won't go to bed without them ... uses them like a dummy!

or, kills birds in full flight but will pick up a chickens egg & carry it inside & spit it out without breaking it !!

Exactly! That's great!!
