OT: Ovary Explosion! | Arthritis Information

anyone else have an ovary that feels like it is going to explode? I have been having to take darvocet for the pain. I tried IBU... nothing. I then took Tylenol Arthritis... nothing. Then I took Ultram... nothing. Then I took Ultram w/TA...nothing. And then I finally broke down and took Darvocet and it finally helped with the pain.

Let me say... I did not take all those meds in one day... but over a course of 3 days. Darvocet is what I finally took yesterday and today. I do not want to take them, but only thing that makes it bearable.

Anyone know why it is feeling like it is going to explode? It even hurts when I laugh or sit up or lay down or do anything. Any kind of pressure makes it hurt.
If it hurts that badly you might want to go to the ER or call your physician in the AM.It could be a cyst or even an ectopic pregnancy. You should call the doctor tomorrow morning.
I hope you feel better soon! You need to call the dr.  I have had ovarian cysts in the past.  Very painful.  If it is large, and it should burst, it is a very serious situation.Hi Joonie! I'm with the others here...call the doctor in the morning if it's not better. Ovarian cysts can be very painful, and as Rebecca said, if it were to burst, it could be very serious. Let us know how it goes.I'm a bloke but one of my daughters had cysts, not nice, have it checked out. Hello! Thanks for the reply all.

I know it is a cyst. But it has not bothered me for almost a year. And then when the last "monthly bill" went away, it started to hurt and has not stopped hurting. It is really warm where it is and can kinda feel it when I press down in that area.

I guess I will call tomorrow morning to see if they will work me in.
I had an ovarian cyst removed once, it was a very simple in office procedure that took no time and had no recovery time.  Didn't hurt a bit and have never had a problem since.  I don't know if it can be more complex for some than it was for me though.Hi Joonie,  I have had that pain before.   9 years ago they  did a hysterectomy and oophorectomy (removal of ovaries).  My pain was horrible, never seemed to stop, among other female problems.  I suggest you get checked asap. try taking advil pm..... it has a slight muscle relaxer that will help you if this is only middleschmertz/ [QUOTE=joonie]Hello! Thanks for the reply all. Hey, Joonie! Those cysts are PAINFUL!! Were you able to get in with your doc?I had a ruptured ovarian cyst when I was 15. It basically turned inside out. I had a lot of bleeding and the ovary shriveled up. it didn't die, but that one didn't produce any eggs.

The amount of pain was unbelievable. They thought it was apendicitis, but back then because  the blood work didn't show appy, they told my parents to just take me home and give me aspirin.. About 2 years before the same thing happened, but  it didn't rupture.
just because you know you have a cyst does not even mean it is the cyst. Better get it checked out asap.

My sister had one removed surgically and a few months later they found a new one. They said they either missed it the first time or it was new. She has been having alot of surgeries this year.

Also just because you have a cyst does not mean that you can not get an eptopic pregnancy. My sister had to have a cyst removed while she was pregnant it was life threatening. Of course the baby is fine and just turned a year old.
I hope you are feeling better now, Joonie, and you got this checked out so you could enjoy your turkey and dressing!
