As no one is reading these posts (they are from the pincushion thread )maybe we should start a new post for how we are and what our weather is like then that thread doesnt have to keep dominating the board, I for one am so bored with it.

We are having a few snow flurries here today, my barometer is reading -4c so I think I will be forced to stay inside to catch up with my christmas decorations.
How is the weather where you are ?

I agree...let that thread die.
Well...I'm off to a Christmas craft show today with a friend of mine.  We'll go out for lunch first though and will probably end up back at my place after the craft show.  She wants to take a look at my "new" bedroom furniture that my husband made for me.
Tomorrow is my husbands Christmas party.  We'll be going our for dinner and to a play with his co-workers.  I just wish I could find some comfy dress shoes for this.
Have a good day everyone!
Your day sounds fun Kel, its is nice to spend time with friends doing stuff like that, enjoy the show and dinner.
We are off to the Dickens festival tomorrow, it is held in the town next to ours which is a heritage town for  Charles Dickens, there are carols in the castle later in the evening and a fair, also a procession through the town with everyone dressed in victorian clothing. Then the huge christmas tree in the castle grounds is lit. The weather forcast is sunny but cold so we will wrap up warm .
Kalamazoo, have fun with the decorations .

Now that sounds fun!Yeak, that does sound pretty fun.  :)Today will be a day of rest for me, I've managed to get the things done that needed to be done.
I might start going over the photos I have taken of young Jake and put a short DVD together covering his first twelve months.
I did this for Ash as a first birthday gift to my daughter.
Its that deep damp cold here. but when the furnace is on its  clammy and too hot  ick..'
we have an antique floor furnace that is either off or on  no middle.. sigh.. supposed to snow up towrds Buffalo, but not us.

I'm really tired still. Talked to my RD and he was emphatic that I am to take 1200 MICROgrams of folic acid a day..I'm just waiting to see my PCP on Monday.

We had fireworks last night so the kids were tired and cranky. but tonight is freaking Santa's workshop so we gotta go do that at school.

Oh and I spent 3 days getting silly putty out of her favorite stufed animal..  I hate kids.

I would love to be keeping up to you all in your fun things to do but I am afraid aqua fit has put me down with a painful back

Our temperature right now is a balmy -1 C. which is about 40 F.  Earlier it was - 8 C. but the sun is shining brightly and we do not have any snow yet.  Yayyy.

I too would love to be at the Dickens Festival.  Sounds just perfect.  Is Michael involved in this?

Snow...I would love to have a picture of you & dh in your furry hats and steam wafting all around you.

Kathy....The silly putty will be a great memory some day just like when my dd was 2 and ds was about 6 - 8 mos., she poured a whole box of cornstarch over his head while he was sitting in the middle of a double bed.  All you could see were two big blue eyes and her two little white footprints heading off down the hall on my brown carpet.

just a couple more Jakie stories:

Jakie cracks me up. He is a very suspicious eater. Lately though he's gotten more adventurous..But he keeps asking "what does it taste like?" Which is hard to answer often because some things only taste like themselves..

Anyway on Thanksgiving he was circling the black olives, staring and asking "what do they taste like?" I got exasperated after telling him "salty, different, like biting into a piece of mango..." So I finally said "black olives taste like boogers." And THAT'S when he grabbed one and ate the darn thing..

And...I have severe brain fog.. must be from old age and chasing kidlets. Anyway I will be saying a sentence and it just trails off unfinished.

Yesterday I MEANT to say "What's my little boy doing?" But it came out "What's my little boy......" He immediately answered "A primate."
Cold here too Only took one week to become bored with it?
Sorry, I think the thread gets PLENTY of hits...

But, as to not hijack this thread...
Weather...Cold
Activities...All holiday related today..(except for the 1/2 day at the office).

My husband helped me make my holiday peanut brittle...3 batches ..made about 7 pounds.

(hubby did all the stirring)...and munching
Down Under the weather is rather too warm at times, and I can't get interested in going out Christmas shopping.  Have no littlies to buy for :(    Must think about getting the artifical tree in place and some decorations on it.  Oh, and cards - still hven't written any  :o    You all make me feel like a sloth!!

Kalamzoo,
I just want to say I am impressed that you know how to repost a diffrent thread to a new one...I have been familiar with this board for sometime...I still haven't figured out how to do that one!...that is awesome....You said you recieved help setting up this board to learn how to "trawl"...you have done very well

Have a nice weekend!
I am very lucky to have a son who showed me how but I also clicked a few buttons while playing around on here to see what they were for. If you looK to the right hand side there is a "POST OPTION" button where you can quote a person. My RA will not behave at the moment , I find myself awake in the early hours of the morning trying to improve my computer skills[/QUOTE]

I know how to qoute...but I am curious how you took my post from one thread and started a whole new thread with it?

I do not know how to do that. Can you tell me what your son taught you?
As far as NO ONE reading my thread...look at the number of hits...It has been read and it gets hits daily. But Thank you for your concern that no one was reading it... Your new thread and qouting me and the name of the thread will insure others will go and read the thing.
I do not condone some of the nastiness on it, but I leave it on front page as a reminder to people how ugly some of the behavior can be on this board. If the post gets buried, trust me a new thread will pop up...always has and always will. We are on an unmoderated board...and I like it here
