Hi Sue,

3 things have helped me immensely with my severe back, hip and knee pain:

Anti-inflammatory diet http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/ART02012/anti-inflammatory-diet
SierraSil: http://www.sierrasil.com - Patented nutritional supplement for OA with a topical spray that works wonders.
Light exercise.  For me restorative yoga, pilates and brisk walking have been essential.

I hope that you find some relief.

Hi Im new to this. Ive had Osteoarthritis for only 4 years. I have it in my feet, ankels both knees and my right shoulder. Im 62 in April and Ive become almost housebound. Last year I had a Arthroscopy done on my knee hoping that would solve my problem but it didnt, so now I am on the operating list for a knee replacement. During this time my other knee has got bad so an Arthroscopy needs to be done on this one. 10 weeks ago I had an Arthroscopy done on my right shoulder, which I am having painful Physio for, this I found to be a very painful operation. I cant seem to find any decent pain relief, and the side affects of some of them are awful. I do get very depressed at having to cope with this dissability its not easy at all .I have a very good caring Husband, who does so much for me. I have recently bought a light weight wheelchair so at least we can go out and about now. I am over weight and it seems to have got worse these last few months, I cant walk, or exercise I only have one veggie meal a day but this is also very depressing, cos I do understand that if I can loose some weight it would make things easier on my joints. Be nice to hear from anyone.
