Update: Bloodwork | Arthritis Information

Well I had more bloodwork done on Tuesday (I think..or Monday) this was for the PCP and she was looking for anemia.

Today they called me and told me to come in today for a Vitamin B12 injection. I will get the shot every week for 4 weeks then monthly. Who knew Pernicious Anemia is autoimmune?
I also am horrendously low in iron and am taking iron, and will have MORE bloodwork next week.
Also still taking the folic acid..

This doesn't address the low platelet or WBC count.. We will find out more about that next week.

I have never ever in my life had anemia... now...sheeesh.. Oh the abcess is nearly healed, getting smaller every day, but I am still on antibiotics.

The anemia can explain my total inability to walk through 2 rooms in the house without bad SOB, shaking and palpitations..

So glad your pcp did more testing for you. I hope the abcess goes away. If it comes back again later go see a surgeon to have it removed. Sometimes these things are actually infected cyst.

Life should start getting better for you with the B-12 shots and the iron. I hope your wbc improves also.
If for whatever reason the B12 shots don't work, many people have found that taking the sublingual pills help. I'm one of them.

what is SOB, Kathy? Shortness of Breath
