Rebecca, all my best to you tomorrow, I will be thinkin' on ya alllllll day!  Blessings to you!

good luck! Thanks guys.  I am really nervous about this one.
I can never sleep the night before a surgery(and I have certainly had a few this year).  So, I am putting the nervous energy to good use--clean clean clean.  I can be sore tomorrow, it's not like I am going to be doing anything!
Becca,

You'll be just fine.

Well,I'm alive. I try not to be a whiner, but man does it hurt! Dr. said the left side had absolutely no movement at all. He obviously worked on it for a while, cause it is throbbing. I know he had mentioned shaving down part of the joint, removing diseased tissue, and "patching up" anything else that he sees. He feels the rt. side was overcompensating for the left While under, he moved it around and felt scar tissue and fluid. So, instead of opening that joint, he drained quite a bit of fluid from around the joint, injected fluid to break up the adhesions, and injected cortisone.

Of course, things can never be dull. I have had quite a bit of difficulty with breathing. We think the muscles are all in spasam from the jaw. Still trying to get discharged tomorrow, but it depends on pulse/blood pressure.
I hope the breathing difficulties get straightened out.  I bet you're just glad to have this behind you.
Hoping you get to go home tomorrow to feel comfy (as comfortable as can be considering what you've been through today) in your own bed.
Sending healing vibes your way!

Wishing you a quick recovery. I hope you get more mobility in your jaw from this. best of luck.wow.  You've sure been through it.  I hope you start feeling better and seeing the benefits of all this really soon.  I am home.  Dr. sent me home with dilaudid and the directions to lay low and watch the Christmas lights on the tree until my followup on Tues.
Left side still really hurts.  He told me today that when he finally got the joint to move, it sounded like a gunshot-huge pop!  He did say that there was no fluid around the joint-none.  This is something he has never seen before.  He told me he would spend the day calling and leaving messages with other drs to get there impressions. As he put it, bone on bone is one thing, but this is crazy.  The right side had way too much fluid.  Does that even out and make me average?
Rebecca, thinking of you at this time - so sorry it had to be at Christmas, or at all    I just hope and pray that the docs  can figure out what's wrong.  May the New Year bring you better health, better times.

Feeling pretty rough.  I usually bounce back super quick from procedures-not the case.  Just finished watching 4 Christmases and listening to the rain pouring on the roof.Well merry Christmas to you Rocckyd. Try to picture feelling better in future. Try to get some rest. Get well soon. I hope your doctor finds an answer for you.
