ENT Visit | Arthritis Information

I guess I have been in denial. I thought I could stay on top of my sinuses this year and avoid surgery and such.

Not the worst thing that could happen I guess. It just feels like last winter all over again. Well he said my ear is not that bad yet. So it is not great. LOL He should have seen it last week.

The sinuses on the other hand are not good. Last year he saw me and I was on Cipro and he put me on keflex 500 mg three times a day. Then the next week he put me on Ceclor 250 three times a day. Then he put me on Ceclor 500mg three times a day. Then he put me under and put shots of Ceclor and cortisone directly into the sinuses. I was sore and bloody for about a week afterward and then I was pretty good for several months.

So today he just put me on the Ceclor 500 mg. three times a day. Well maybe it will work? I will try to keep a good attitude about it. If not I guess i will be getting put under the anesethesia in three weeks or so. Assuming he follows the same protical. He actually told me to call him in a week if I am not better. So I almost get the feelling he may go a little faster this time?

On the brighter side I do not have an abcessed tooth like I did last year. So maybe I will be less miserable just because of that fact. It just brought back some not so pleasant memories of pain and discomfort.

Last year I was getting shots in my shoulder, getting my tooth pulled and sinus surgery. So then if i can keep it down to just sinus surgery it should be a piece of cake. Except I liked it better being a mystery. This time i know what to expect. Even thou it is not really bad I would still like to avoid it.

I remember everything you went through last year with the sinusus and the abscessed tooth. Sorry the sinusus are starting back up this year, but hopefully the Ceclor will wipe it out and you won't need surgery. I'll be thinking about you...feel better soon!Sinus stuff really is miserable.
