Just a little hello.....To all of you who site mailed me, I'm still among the living!

I had to have  some surgery on my hip.  It was a last minute thing and I'm doing fine.  I do have to use crutches for another week or so, but it hasn't been too bad.

I've missed posting and reading here, but a quick glance makes me think not much is new here

Wishing everyone a very happy and healthier New Year

I am glad you are still here. I figured you were gone on holiday vacation. Welcome back and speedy recovery.

Yay! It's good to see you!I was wondering where you were and thought you were on vacation! Disappointed to hear you had to have surgery... Glad you are doing better though! :)  Happy 2010, amiga!I had visioned that you were surrouded by family for the holidays. Maybe on a nice cruise somewhere warm with fine looking waiters spoiling you. LOL Hip surgery was not what I was thinking at all. Well I hope it makes you feel better soon so you can enjoy what I had planned for you in the future. Get well soon. milly2010-01-01 10:33:08Lynn,

I, too, was hoping you were off doing something wonderful for the holidays.

I surely missed your posts and great articles.

Sorry to hear about the surgery, but I'm taking a positive attitude that this will help out in the long run. So best of luck with that!
Hi Lynn, count me among the ones who thought you were off cruising or skiing; hip surgery never entered the equation.  Glad you're up and around.  Take care.  LindyHappy New Year Lynn. I hope you recover quickly. What type of hip surgery did you have?

My husband had a hip replacement a few years back. I was amazed at his quick recovery. He was back golfing in 9 weeks...but he golfs even if it snows. Totally out of his mind when it comes to that game ;)
Awwww Lynn,  HI Lynn, get well soon, missed you!  Hugs Janie. Thanks for checking in, I was wondering what happened.  Best wishes for a successful outcome with your surgery!hello!!!  glad you let the world know what's going on!!   I wish you a very fast recovery!!  and off those nasty crutches!!

Miss you loads!!!

For all of you who have asked:

Due to a hip fracture I suffered a couple years ago, I developed avascular necrosis of the hip (bone death)

My RD keeps very close watch on the problem and after seeing both him and my ortho in early December, I had a core decompression performed on my hip.

I'm doing very well and may be able to stop with the crutches at the end of next week.

I appreciate all of your kind words and support

Thanks so much.  It's nice to be back!

Lynn
