Hi Everyone! Happy New Year!

I am posting to ask that if you will please pray for my oldest brother. He has aggressive lung cancer and they are doing MRIs and CT scan to see how far it has progressed.

He has been having seizures for the last 6 months and none of his Dr's could figure out why. They thought they finally figures out why when his dilantin was nil. And they gave him meds for that and he was taking them like he should and he was still having seizures. He is having at sometime up to 3-4 a day.

So, they are doing an MRI of his head to see if it has spread to his brain. They said that they kind he has moves upward from the lungs and then spreads.

My mom is also going to have another surgery this month. Her heart Dr said this is going to be the most dangerous surgery she will have out of all the others she had to fix her problems post open heart surgery. Her sternum is infected once again. SO they have to break off the infected bone again and try to fix it to where her insicion will close this time. They are talking about a 3hr surgery and moving stuff around like muscles and stuff.

So... please pray for my mother and my brother, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
June
Hi June, I am sorry to hear about your mom and brother.  Your mom has been through so much!  I am sure things will be extra hard for her knowing what your brother is going through.  I will keep them both in my thoughts, and you too, June... I know this is difficult for you.

How are you feeling?  I hope things are going well for you otherwise and you are in a good place with your RA.  Take good care June.

Prayers for your family.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother and brother. When it rains it really pours. Prayers and very best wishes are being sent your way.

I know it's hard, but try to make a little time for yourself.

Thinking of you.

I also have a dear friend who has brain cancer after having had lung cancer twice (which was after kidney and then throat) He is having cyberknife radiation.  they are very hopeful.. I hope your brother can have such a treatment.

I am doing good. The swelling is down, the pain is down. The left elbow my RD is so worried about the inflammtion being in, is way down, since she upped MTX to 20mg. I finally feel like I am starting to get better. Not many flares and when I do get one it does not last long. Maybe a week and then I am doing good again. Fibro acts up and makes me tired. I had a sinus infection about 3 weeks ago. I guess that means my immune system is finally being compermised by the meds. I do not know if that is a good thing or a bad thing LOL!

Right now, I am having a hard time with the Raynaud's. All the colder than normal winter cold going on. As long as I stay in bed with the heating pad and covered up I am ok. Does not matter how many pairs of socks I got on, my feet still are like foot-cicles and halfway up my calves as well. Takes me hours to defrost them with the heating pad. And if I take a hot shower it is painful. I will yell "COLD!! COLD!!" because when the hot water hits my frozen feet it feels like ice cold water hitting them, not hot water. And it burns after they start to defrost. My hands and fingers are the same way. But I can keep them warmer than I can my feet because I do not have to walk on them LOL!

I hope all is well with everyone and that the new year is starting off GREAT for everyone of you.

Miss Ya'll!
