flare frustration | Arthritis Information
I haven't been here in a while and have really missed many of you. I pop in occasionally and noticed lots of new people here!
I've had tremendous stress over the last 9 mo. and feel just awful. My Rheumy has been great and will see me anytime I need, but it seems nothing is being done. He admits I have joints that are swollen and warm, but because my bloodwork is ok, he doesn't want to make any changes to my meds. I am having trouble keeping weight on, as I am never hungry, my stiffness in the morning lasts 1-2 hrs, and I experience night sweats on a regular basis. I did a two week pred pack and felt wonderful during that time.... doesn't that say my meds have stopped working? He thinks this is all a fibro fare. Can that be true? I will be seeing him in two weeks and want to be prepared. Any thoughts or suggestions?

oh and one more thing... my hair is falling out worse than I have ever dealt with. Is this from stress?I don't know anything about fibro..so not sure what to tell u.
I sure hope u start feeling better soon.
I get night sweats/hot flashes all the time as well... interrupts my sleep every night.
You said the pred helped. I tend to think that fibro would not be helped so much by a dose pak. Then what do I know. LOL
Lupus can make your hair fall out i thought? Do you have any enimies? Maybe someone is poisoning you. Sometimes a flare just about feels like someone is trying to do you in.
I hope you feel better. Make sure you convey all of this to the doctor. I hope he is more helpful this time.
the fentanyl might be making your hair fall out or the plaquenil. check with your doc. sometimes folic acid can help out and stop hair loss---it just all depends.
