If anyone really likes there primary care doctor (internal med dr. ), hear from anyone, or have friends in the Seattle area that has a good recomendation for a doctor, would you mind emailing me their name? I dont mind driving over 60 miles to get to that person... I really need to switch doctors to one that will listen and help with all the problems Im having .  I am having such a hard time finding a good pcp and it's getting me depressed and feeling helpless.

Thanks,

Kelly
Klynn,
Maybe try interviewing a few candidates. Wish you could go to my PCP, actually I really  like all my doctors. I am lucky. I have had a few poops over the years though.

Don't let it get you depressed. like I said, start making calls, see if you like the way the doctors office responds to you...before you make an appointment. I had a docotr once that you could not win with his phone system...it was the worst set up I ever saw..they eventually corrected the problem...then he quit his practice and went to Med Express.

Good luck.

Thanks Lisa... Yeah, I tell ya what, I am absolutely SICK of dr appts. I wanna throw my hands up so many times! What a waist of time and money ... Ugh!!!! I've got so much documentation ( journals) that if something happened to me these doctors would be in so much trouble!

Klynn,

I've suggested this before to others and maybe something you may consider. Try a reputable hospital. All of my doctors are with the University of Michigan healthcare system. It's pretty nice because all of my records can be found by all my doctors in the same system. They never have to send for my records and each doctor knows all about all of my problems and drugs. And, many of my doctors know each other. When I was in the hospital for my surgery, I was surprised to look up and see three of my doctors including my rheumatoligist with my surgeon. Just some food for thought. Good luck with your search. No one deserves a bad doctor.

Does your rd have any suggestions?  I have developed a great network, cause they all recommended each other.  The main 4 drs that I see(wow 4, that's sad...) are each number 1 in the area.  Otherwise, I would have just been going off dr lists and trying to get appts.

It is so hard to find a good team-PCP included.   I wish you luck, and minimal frustration!
