My first "Cruise" | Arthritis Information

Ok, Lev, I think I finally figured this out.  Hopefully it'll work.

I must say though, these might be very boring for some.  Just trying out my new camera I got for Christmas
.
The first few photos were taken around my house.  Then we're off to different places in my city.  It's a very small city so not much to see.  You'll see a church right after my yard photos.  In this church a cleaning woman was murdered by a teen boy.  This happened about 30 yrs ago, but I always think about that when I go by that church.

Just off to the side of the court house there were four hangings.  The last two were of a father and son (53 and 21 I think) for the murder of a police officer. Those last two hangings took place in 1935 I believe.

You'll also see some photos of some older homes I like..nothing special with them..just that I've always wanted to take a look inside of these homes.

You'll see our "Jumbo" statue.  Jumbo was killed in my city when the circus was here in 1885.  If interested, you can read more here..  http://www.mysteriesofcanada.com/Ontario/jumbo_the_elephant.htm  This is the first year that they've covered him for the winter.  You'll see that someone even knitted him a scarf.

The old English Church/Old St.Thomas Church is another interesting place to see if interested in stuff like that.  I've always enjoyed looking around cemeteries.

Next are some photos of Pinafore Park.  We ran into my best friends son walking his new puppy. So you'll see a photo of him as well.  Some photos were taken while on the frozen pond.

Next photos are just back to my part of the city and then on to another small cemetery and then the last stop is to visit my daughter who just lives a few streets up from me.

Here's the link to the photos...

Maybe some others will post photos of their cities..

The photos are beautiful Kelly, the older homes look very interesting and the Jumbo story was of great interest. Thanks for sharing with usKelstev,

Thank you. I totally enjoyed your cruise. It seemed that you became a better photographer as the photos went by, until they were postcard perfect. The only problem is that when I saw that you posted your "first cruise", I went and got a fresh cup of coffee, turned on some music, put my feet up and just started to enjoy the cruise when it was over. Too short. Looking forward to your next sharing.

LEV
Thanks Lisa and Lev..
Lev...Yeah, I agree, I would have liked to have had more photos, but it was just too cold for me....but I will do this again with more photos once it warms up outside. In fact I'm looking forward to it.
