Now I was not expecting a miraculous 100% turn around after having 1 Humira injection but today I am having a more painful day than what I usually experience.  All over too.

Not sure if it's a coincidence, the impending snow (although I have never felt like weather affects me) or maybe my response to Humira. I will wait a day or so before bothering my doctor about it but I was wondering if anyone else had this reaction after their 1st shot.

Thanks
I don't think it's unusual.  I get achey the day after my Enbrel shot.  My husband can always tell when it's the day after.  He says I'm whiney.  I gladly put up with a yucky feeling day for a glorious six days!  Besides, I don't really hurt, it's just an achey feeling like I'm getting ready to get sick.

Don't dismiss Humira yet!
1 shot is too early to tell esp if there is weather fronts coming through.  Keep notes to review with the dr but hang in there for at least another injection...unless you are showing signs of an allergic reactionI can feel off the day after as well. Not always but sometimes. I DO.... after enbrel shot.. that's why Wednesday is my day for both mtx and enbrel..

then by the weekend.. I am feeling very good......

I hope that's the case for you too!!
Glad this is not unusual...I wonder why it is? It's not like it's a live vaccination or something. I wonder why the doctors or the Humira website do not think to tell you that might be one of the side effects. They certainly like to tell you enough about the dangerous ones!I am sort of hurty the next day, but not as swollen.  It only last a day for me too.  Don't be discouraged.  You are on MTX too, right?  I think keeping progress notes is a great idea.  That way you could chart your progress and also figure out just exactly how long the shot works for you.  I am proud of you, I know this was a difficult step to take.

I think it is wise to wait it out just a bit...If it does not resolve then I would defiantly call the doctor.

I take Betaseron shots every other day, it causes flu like symptoms 4 to 6 hours after injecting, fever and body ache. It took me weeks to get past that, It was advised to take Motrin when I took my injection. You might ask about taking some type of pain reliever with your injection. I no longer suffer the adverse side effects. Best of luck, Hope it resolves quickly.

I don't have anything like that with enbrel.  I really just wanted to say hi.  It's been a long while since I've seen you. Thanks again all!

Today is a little better than yesterday but I have a headache that feels like it's in the sinuses. I am definitely going to start a little log because I don't want to think it's just my imagination running away with me.
