What the heck...I woke up this morning just fine.

Went to church...just fine

Drove home and noticed my left ear hurting....ok...fine...

Well it has done nothing but get worse....not fine

Pain is in my ear and around it. Hurts to touch it. Hurts to open my mouth. Very painful

I do not feel sick.

I don't get it....feel like I am falling apart lately. One thing after another....just compounds one problem with another.

I have NEVER had ear pain that I recall. Any Ideas? If it is like this in the morning I will call the doctor. I see him this week for a follow up from my hospital stay.

Sometimes I feel like this -------------------->if it hurts to open your mouth, it could be the jaw joint.  Hope not...

Don't you feel like it is always something?

Hurts to open mouth.
Just touching my ear and jaw joint causes sharp horrible pain. What the heck.
Very sore feeling when not touched.....keeping my mouth shut for the moment

Yes, yes it does...always something
Rebecca, If this how you feel suffering from your Jaw...man girl I feel for you...Inflamed,

I had an ear infection once and it sounds like what you have. I was in the service and the doctor did an ear irragation which is equivilant to getting shot with a twenty two into your ear canal. They gave me anti-biotics and of course, darvons. They gave darvons out like the easter bunny gives out chocolate. No matter what you went to the infirmory for, you always left with a bottle of darvons.

From now on, I will always see a picture in my head of a man girl when I think of Roccyd. It just struck me funny when I read it. "Rebecca, If this how you feel suffering from your Jaw...man girl I feel for you... Too funny, but seriously hope you both get good relief. Seriously, picture a man girl, isn't that funny?

Man Girl......jeesh what was I saying.....lol
I am going to call the Doctor in morning....the pain is intense...Please pass the ChocolateInflamed,

Back then the darvons were in a white and blue capsule. If you pulled the capsule apart, it was filled with (I think) buffered asperin and in the center was a red ball and I think that it was pure codiene. I just remember everyone removing the red ball and saving them.

Hi Lisa, whatever it is it sounds miserable.  I've only had one ear infection and had little pain.  Please call your doctor in the morning irregardless of pain or no pain.  This isn't normal and should be investigated.

Lev, I had a little chuckle about the "Man Girl" also, sorry Lisa, I know you're in pain but......
I'm a child of the 60's and I remember the bald darvons as they were called then.  I never got the nerve to try them but I know some who did.  Had forgotten about them.  We're showing our age.  No worries LinB...I laugh at myself all the time.

I wasn't laughing when I looked in the mirror while attempting to brush my teeth. My left side of my face is swollen along the ear and jaw.

My teeth do not hurt...I do not feel sick...Just pain and now swelling ..... What the heck ?...

My DH wants me to take some of his left over antibiotics...I declined...will wait until I call Doctor tomorrow morning. I am reclyining in bed waiting for pain pill to work. Can not lay down to sleep just yet...to painful.

Man..this ..Girl...is...bummed... [QUOTE=levlarry]Inflamed, [QUOTE=#1inflamedOnline]No worries LinB...I laugh at myself all the time.
Woke up this morning and my ear is 60 percent better! Go figure...I haven't decided to call the doctor or see and wait. I have an appointment with him this week. I think it is on Wed. I have to check my calendar at office.

Jas, I have taken vicodin, that could mask a fever I am sure, with all the tylenol in it.
I do not "feel" ill.   IDK

I am going to cruise through the morning...if the pain comes back full force I will most def call...could be sinus pressure...IDK...really ruined my day yesterday.

Hope everyone  has a Good Monday.

SO GLAD IT IS MARCH!!!!!     COME ON WARM WEATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
glad to hear the ear is a bit better.
I haven't had the ear problem...but the jaw issues...yeah..that's not much fun at all.
Man Girl here...

glad to hear that you are feeling better :)
Hi Lisa, to me it sounds like its the sinuses esp if you have had that much improvement, but I guess with RA, the pain can come and go like that too, so check out the jaw too, quite scary when these things just happen out of the blue hey?  Good luck, Janie., [QUOTE=rocckyd]Man Girl here...

No Lev....Pretty sure that is more a    Whoa ---Man

Well I guess the pig tails could be a girl....but I still said Whhhhoa ---Man  when I opened the thread...
You know you love me!

Now THAT is funny!  OMG . . . I may have dreams about this!

UGLY, but funny......looks like a darvon addict to me.

Lisa, still think you should have it checked out, especially with taking RA meds.  If you don't have an appt. on Wed., call and make one - please.  L

Ok... First Rebecca.... you are the scariest man girl I've ever seen!

Second... Lisa... I am getting over pneumonia right now with the help of 2 ( yes 2!) antibiotics. My chest xray was quite bad and I was having a really hard time breathing. My GP wanted me in the hospital but I was able to talk her into letting me stay at home ( I had to promise to come back for daily rechecks). The moral of the story is this... I had NO FEVER. I've had pneumonia before having RA and my temp usually runs 103 or so. I guess all the meds we take really do supress fevers. So get yourself to the doctor girl!!

Becca,

We do love you.

Hi Lisa,

Glad you are feeling much better today! I get flares with my RA where out of no where one spot on my body would hit fast and hard...BAM!... and it hurt so horribly...it would hit lots of different places, and within about 24 hours exactly, the pain started to just go away and within a day or two I was back to normal like it never happened.  It's hit my  jaw to the point I couldnt eat or talk very well, my neck where all I could do is just lay still all day it hurt so badly to move it or try and turn over in the middle of the night, or my shoulder waking me up in the middle of the night out of no where in so much pain...even just laying it on my side it was horrible.

I think it is good to get a check up like others have said just in case, but I've started to see a pattern for me with my RA now. I wonder if that is whats happening to you? Literally, it hits out of no where, horrible pain that will stick around for about 24 hrs then almost gone the next day. I couldnt do anything to make it go away, heating pad, cold compresses, pain pills, wouldnt do a thing for it. When I didnt know anything about RA several years back and had this happen to me, I went and saw my dr. She did an xray of my shoulder and saw nothing, said she didnt know, thought it was a pinched nerve and gave me pain pills which didnt work AT ALL! The very next day the pain was almost gone.  So frustrating isnt it? Now I know, for me, when this happens to just grin and bear...bare..?? LOL .. it.... and within 24 hours I will start to feel relief.

Let us know how things go!

Thanks everyone....My ear is 100% better. It was most def sinus and the issue has resolved.

There has been a total screw up with scheduling my stress test. Now it seem I will not have it done until the 16th. I try to give the benefit of the doubt to the hospital, the Cardiologist staff, and my Doctors nurse...but I will say If I had not become pro-active as of today I would NOT of had an appointment. I saw my doctor yesterday and he wanted me to have it this week...not happening....he settled for next week...now that is not  happening. My Doctor does not know this, I hate to tell him because his nurse who I like (and the cardio office is blaming) may of made an error.
The first two errors made in scheduling the stress test the cardio office blamed the hospital, then blamed my my Doctor, now his nurse...IDK...

My doctor scheduled the type of stress test  with drugs. He said because of my MS and RA
I would fail the tread mill and have to re-schedule with the othere type of stress test. I forget what he called it.

I haven't been feeling the best. Just trying to muddle through. I haven't been on here. I will read and try to catch up with everyone.
