Long term MTX side effects, but not for RA.. | Arthritis Information

Hi everyone.

I don't want to be a troll or anything, but I have a few questions that I figured could better be answered here.

First off I'd like to say that I am an 18 year old male currently taking methotrexate (among many other god forsaken poisons) not for arthritis but as part of my chemotherapy treatment for leukemia.

So, anyway, back to methotrexate. I am mainly concerned about hairloss while taking it. It may seem pretty pointless to ask just about methotrexate taking into consideration that I get monthly injections of vincristine and also take 6MP nightly but I have a feeling the MTX is the culprit (I also get spinal injections of methotrexate).

I have been taking it for around 2 years now and have steadily gone up in dosage, currently I am taking 23 pills a week, they are 2.5mg each while comes out to 57.5mg.

Now onto the hairloss, with the increasing dose I have major bald spots now at my temples and a sharp widows peak. All around the widows peak is thin and theres even spots where its so thin on top where I can see my scalp.

My question is, did anybody taking MTX experience frontal hair loss and nowhere else? im confused as to why its following a male-pattern baldness like thinning and not just falling out everywhere (although it  pretty much is thin everywhere). I really dont think its MPB cause no males in my family have it they all have full heads of hair, but why would the methotrexate make the hairline recede??

And most importantly, when you stop MTX does your hair grow back? I really hope it does.  =(
