I am in upstate NY. We had lots of rain and it was windy--nothing unmanageable. It has now stopped raining and the rest of week is supposed to be relatively warm and sunny. I think maybe south of here it was much worse. It was pretty ferocious friday night into saturday afternoon. The wind was howling around my house... It caused my front porch roof to leak but this has been an issue since we had the home built in 2004. Only rain that is driving sideways causes this issue.
The small creeks overflowed their banks causing some road flooding but it wasn't anything that a 4X4 SUV couldn't manage w/ caution.`
It was a great deal of rain in a short period. Nothing major happened in my area...We actually are thankful it wasn't snow!! LOL
I'm in central NJ and the storms were pretty fierce. Thankfully we just had the power blink quite a bit, but it always came back up for us...unfortunately it didn't come right back for many others in the state. We tried to take my stepdaughter out to lunch yesterday and everywhere we went roads were closed due to flooding (we have a lot of rivers and streams in our area) and downed trees, or the power was out. Eventually we found a place...after a couple of hours in the car!
