RA nodule | Arthritis Information

Hi guys, had it confirmed today, first RA nodule on achilles tendon, back of heel, is this a bad sign, I am sure I have read somewhere that they don't promise a good outcome?  Hugs Janie.  Are you concerned with it being on your achilles tendon or just having a nodule to begin with? I had a nodule on the outside of my big toe and had it surgically removed several years ago. No big deal and I haven't had another one.I've had a few nodules over the years and really haven't had any problems with them.  Some I've had for a few years and some only a few months.  Some disappear and some haven't.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I thought I read somewhere that nodules were associated with a more aggressive disease, I would ask my Rheumy and be sure you treatment is doing all it can for you. I have not experianced a nodule. I understand you are concerened. I would be also. Make a list of questions then call and leave the questions with his nurse. Best wishes to you.

LisaHow big is yours?  I have a small one thats been on my left achilles for about 3 yrs and it sure hurts in the area. No not concerned about it other than the pain and the prognosis.  Obviously my RA is still not controlled adequately either so a few concerns about that which to me yeah, it is a big deal.
