The investigational drug is Tasocitinib (CP-690,550), and is a pill taken by mouth, unlike many current R.A. treatments which are injected under the skin or infused. There is more information about the study on www.ORALtrials.com

Well gee One post. No intro. I guess you must own stock in this new company. Do you even have RA?
It actually looks legit.  I think it is the drug that I had signed on to participate in the trials and then backed out due to fear of stopping my meds (was in a very bad state pre-Cimzia).  It is odd that the OP is "advertising" the trials though.

I found out about it via a newspaper ad about six months ago, called and spoke with a nurse several times.  It is a JAK inhibitor, Pfizer is specifically searching for a non-injectable that doesn't require refrigeration so that people in third world countries can take it.

Any new thing in the pipeline, I'm happy about.
What is a JAK inhibitor?

Actually, I would love a pill as opposed to a shot and no refrigeration sounds good too.

I agree, kinda weird to post about the trials...

Some kind of substance in the body that causes inflammation.  I found this article online:

Wouldn't it be nice to achieve control with a pill?
Thanks Tara, very interesting!  I'm amazed with the studies coming out on RA.  I hope, I hope, I hope... in my lifetime, please, and in enough time to do me some good!  Oh, and affordable!
