HI,Again thank-you for your thoughts and prayers for Taylor.  We were again at the ped today and he wants to put Taylor on anti-depressants to help with her pain management a week out from 8 joint injections and she still has a fever, racing heart, no joint relief(worse if anything), rapid respirations and high blood pressure.  Dr. says he thinks all of this is due to pain and anxiety.  Taylor(13) says he is not listening to her and doesn't understand znd she does not need anti-depressants(beleive me I think I need the anti-depressants!ha!ha!)I then talked to her ped rheumy and she is going to see her on Friday if she is no better.  She also said that her pain medicine(ultram) may be causing her vitals to be high.  I doubt that because ahe was on this before injections.  Does anyone have any experience with any of this?
Also very high platelet count in labs.
Cindy

Sorry I posted that under Taylor's name.

You're registered Taylor too?

I'm not sure Cindy. I have very little experience with antidepressants. Years ago a doctor prescribed Pamalor I think it was called. I think that's an antidepressant. He gave it to me to help me sleep; That's always been a concern of mine. It did little to help me sleep....but it kind of calmed my nerves when I'd get edgy on predisone. It might have all been in my mind...but that stuff makes me feel angry

I hope she's starting to feel a little better. Is she getting any mobility back after the injections?

Tell her we wish her well.
