Persistant cough | Arthritis Information

Ok everyone I am up can't sleep. I have this persistent cough. Nothing else just this persistent cough.  I can't stop coughing and it is worse when I lay down. I have tried to get rid of it for a week now. Over the counter stuff isn't helping at all. It's kind of like I have a tickle in the back of my throat. Never had this before. My appointment with the RD is this Thurs. Should I call or just wait to go see her? I know that is probably a stupid question but I could  be over reacting. I just don't know anymore.  Could be the MTX - call the rheumy.I had that kind of cough a couple of weeks ago.  Boy, was it annoying.  I finally got a prescriptions for cough med from my doctor.  It did really well.  Also, ricola cough drops did good too.  I was surprised.  I would take the med at night before bed and a ricola.  It helped a lot.  I would call my doc and ask for that cough med prescription.  I hope this helps and that cough/tickle goes away soon.  :) Done. Called the Doc for meds and sent my son for the Ricola. Interestingly enough someone on my facebook mentioned the Ricola to me.At this time of year.. It could be just allergies..

Many are having bad symptoms this year...   good luck!!
I hope it all works for you and you get a good night sleep.  And try not to do what I do when I take Ricola.  Everytime I think about Ricola, I think about that dumb commercial when they say/sing RI.....CO....LA.  Ok, that might not make any sense.  Maybe I need a good night sleep too.  lol   I've had a dry cough since I started MTX about 2 weeks ago. Is having a cough a side effect? I have never had a cough for a side effect from methotrexate.  However, it never hurts to ask your RA doc or a pharmacist.
