what do i do????   i took one dose.  went nuts it was 3 weeks ago then within a week i broke out with shinlges.  this is not usual.  i get shinlges.   never quite so quick though.  i got shinlges regularly from remicdae the dr never made a big deal about it.    i have been a nervous wreck too.    i was suppose to get 2nd infusion last wed post poned until today.  went to dr today  he postponed it until maybe next week.  he told me this drug could be a miracle cure for me or it could basicly kill me.  my choice as to whether i take it next week.   i call dr on monday to see what drug reps say.   if all is ok and no more side effects i can take my 2nd dose thursday about 2 weeks late.  there will be no pred and no bendryl since i think both those drugs helped to make me nuts.   we are gong stright retuxan although i was warned i could have severe side effects if it does not work.  what would you guys do?????  i felt like bugs were crawling on me.  i had shakes, chills, headache, ear ringing, poor sleeping, poor eating,  didnt pee for awhile............ need answers    oh and the dr know all this already....    thanks wonderwomanSo sorry you are going through all of this. Hopefully you can get it all worked out. I wish I had answers for you. When I first started Enbrel my leg really swelled up. went to ER and drug reaction was ruled out. RD decided to wait and retry. After a couple of months, started back on the drug. but it just doesn't seem to be working for me.   Positive thoughts go out to you. Take care. Hi Wonderwoman,

I have gotten what I call the heebie-jeebies or shimmy legs. I told the nurse at the next infusion and she told me that i should have told her and they would have slowed down the infusion. I don't think that i had even a slight heebie-jeebies on the second infusion that was quite a bit faster. I know it's very uncomfortable but I guess not serious and mostly my fault that i didn't tell my infusion nurse. I am going to keep you in my thoughts and wish for good things to happen. Rituxan has been so very good to me so far. Good luck to you. Oh, here is the Rise Hotline where you can speak with a Rituxan nurse. They have always been very helpful and she will write a report on your shimmy legs. She should be able to give you good advise on whether you should continue Rituxan.

I was told that you get the "heebie jeebies" when they push the premeds to quickly.

well my new infusion nurse believes in pushing the medicine too fast because she use to push the remicade in less than 2 hours and i told her i would be nervous for weeks afterwards and she told me i was the only patient whoever complained......    the old infusion nurse would take her sweet time and i never had any trouble   but this isnt remicade anymore it is retuxan.  i am scared.!  the dr who has been treating me forever thinks it is my best shot at getting better.   do i try it??? for the 2nd dose???     by the way enbrel worked on me too until they had a shortage many moons ago then i had to go without by the time they got the supply and demand back    it no longer worked for me either.hey lev
i call them   they were very hepful   thanks,  wonderwoman
p.s. how is my stamp doing?   i hope you saved it!
