My daughter invited all the extended family for a lovely brunch, held at my sister's house as it's handier for the majority. I knew we were having a brunch but I thought it was our usual... the 4 in my family, the 4 in my sister's and my mom. Instead, there were at least 30 there! Luckily, I dressed up a little; nice red tailored blouse, curled hair (thanks, dear fingers, for working that day), clunky Z-coil shoes for comfort. When I arrived, my daughter immediately put a flashing 60! pin on me and a tiara which I never took off to her delight. The dining room and living room were decorated too. Healthwise, the adrenalin rush helped me last longer than usual, though it was me who ended the party when I started to ache more and the fatigue could no longer be denied. I had one near miss of falling down... straight onto my 20yr old niece's lap... you should've seen how big her eyes got! But it was fun and yummy and full of laughter. I'm smiling big on all photos. I'm very blessed to have such a loving and fun family.
