I have a problem. Moved back to AZ and got a new RA doc. he's been trying to get me on Orencia for a year. I have been on gold inj for 30 yrs and they are a miracle for me. Last week he tells me he cant get gold anymore. Have to try orencia. I have valley fever and of course can't take oren. He said think about it and come back in 8 weeks. I need gold now. I am a RN student graduating in Nov and can't have pain and do what I need to do. I can get gold online Canada pharmacy but need a prescription. He refuses to give me one. He does seminars for Orencia! I need to find a new doctor. Refuse to see him again. ANyone know a good one? Anyone take myochrysine?Help pleaseI was on myochrysine for years. I don't believe you can get it anymore, but another generic of gold salts was available.. The generic did not work for me.  I am now on methotrexate which has been a miracle drug. Research a company called Tayler mfg - believe they are distributor of gold salts. I will see what I can find out for you.

When I was on myochrysine I was told they couldn't get it anymore & gave me some other generic, which did not work. I would advise finding a primary physician who would be willing to prescribe it.  My primary Dr did for years.

Thanks my primary won't even talk about it. Said see "my rheumatologist". I have an appt w/a new RA dr next week and I'd like to go armed with info. I'm not having much luck finding this drug. I called akorn yesterday and they said they have some 1mL avlbl, but they're out of 10 mL. Since I take 25 mg I don't know what they mean. Why is it so easy to get from Canada is what I'd really like to know? thanks for the help. As I'm sure you know I am afraid to try a new drug when I had one that worked so very well.

There's several pages about myochrysine on the Web.  It's still  being prescribed except not by your RD....so it's time to find another RD.  You can get any drug from Canada that's legally prescribed in Canada  with a prescription.  Doesn't mean that it's any easier to get in Canada than in the U.S.  Your RD isn't working with you and it's time to move on.  I hope it works out for you.  I do know that gold isn't prescribed much anymore but since you've been on it for so long, it's worked, and you've had no side effects why mess with success? Keep us posted on your new appt.  Lindy Thanks for your support!  I see a new doctor next week.  i know I can get the drug in  Canada but it will take awhile after I see the dr. He better be good or I will have to harm him! Just kidding , it's the Fr. Orencia I need to hurt.
