Burst vein? | Arthritis Information

Hi guys, has anyone had a burst vein from RA?  I tried to open a jar and afterwards my finger really hurt and went very hard, then stung like crazy as I watched it turn purple/blue like an instant bruise, I couldn't bend it and it just kept stinging, it has been 3 days now and the bruise is just fading, there is a small lumpy area and still sore to touch?  I would be interested to know if anyone has had anything like this?

Also I have been off of my MTX now for about 8-10 weeks due to hig ALT levels which are still high and the fatigue is killing me, I wonder did the lack of MTX contribute to the vein prob, I have been awaiting the start of Tocilizumab but had to have a scan first to make sure I didn't have fatty liver, but as usual, nothing goes my way, I have got fatty liver (from Steroids) and now cannot use this drug, where to next I don't know, but it is making me very depressed, I have read that if I do not stop the steroids it will lead to cirrhosis from meds and then probable transplant required??  I feel so low at the moment and have no motivation to be able to do anything and when I do try, I have no energy whatsoever.  HELP!!!!!!!!!  Janie.
oh ALL the time. often from opening jars, but also doors and  kids carseats.

 its bizzarre and PAINFULL.
Ah, Janie, Janie, this happens to me all the time, and did so even before I was diagnosed.  I get them in my toes too.  I don't even have to do anything strenuous.  I feel a *pop* in my toe just walking along then the stinging and purple arrive.  My fingers the same, I don't do anything out of the ordinary, maybe something violent like turn a door knob!  I used to take aspirin and stopped, because I thought my blood might be too thin.  I think of it as a popped blood vessel rather than a vein, but I don't know.
