Old age home or not...LOL | Arthritis Information

Can you pass this test?

During a visit to my doctor, I asked him, "How do you determine whether
Or not an older person should be put in an old age home?"

"Well," he said, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a
Teacup and a bucket to the person to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," I said. "A normal person would use the bucket
Because it is bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No" he said. "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed
Near the window?"

DO YOU WANT THE BED NEXT TO MINE?

Good one Rusty!  Without any thought at all, I would have chosen the bucket.  After all, he only gave you 3 choices.  He didn't ask for an alternative.
However, I still like the joke!
That is funny. I would have passed the test. I would have chosen the teaspon. LOL In the past I have had bathtubs that it took a teaspon to pry the plug out of the drain. The small rubber ones.

So for me the word teaspon makes me think bathtub plug instantly. LOL Alright I am a little strange.
Question? You's are old right? So you have come across these little rubber drain plugs and you have RA. So how do you pry them out with a bucket? Teaspoon is what I would recommend. LOLDepends on how bad hands were at that given moment.  Pulling plug is first option, but if it is one of those horrible ones, then wd attempt the levering with teaspoon.  If that didn't work, because of state of stupid fingers,  then I'd hve to revert to a small bucketful - but if shoulders just too bad, might hve to try the teacup - in my left hand as r. shldr might not co-operate.    Yes I'm old and I have use a spoon to get one out....and he did say normal.....What is that? ....lol
Now I use a plug that you just push on it and it pops up.
Lorrie LOL Now that is the ticket. We do what we have to do at any given moment.

I guess we should say we have RA you better give us all three.
Happy Birthday Rusty,

This is so funny and thought that I would bring it back up on your birthday. Wishing you the very best and always remember the correct answer is to "pull the plug". Stay out of the old folks home as long as possible. My Mom laughed herself to tears when I read her this joke.

LEV
Thanks LevAlways odd and difficult... I'd use the chain
