For a week I thought I had pink eye finally got into the Dr friday she thought i had pink eye everyone in the office thought the same but then after examining my eyes she pulled off her rubber gloves and said i had an eye ulcer on my cornea caused by my ra not being under control????   I wonder if it is the new medicine rituxan.  any suggestions???  wwWonderWoman,

My suggestion is that it is just what the Doctor said, "caused by your rheumatoid arthritis not being under control". It's easy to know, just from your recent posts that your ra is very out of control. Out of control ra is extremely dangerous and destructive.

the ulcer is called a mooren's ulcer.  it is a collection of white blood cells on the eye ball.  we are hoping with these drops and lots of time and check ups it will heal.  only people with connective tissue disorder get it or ra patients.   wwWW,

Those of us blessed with this disease called rheumatoid arthritis, are vulnerable to so many other diseases and difficulties. We must always be on the look out for any thing out of the ordinary. Hope the drops work and remember to keep the faith.

I am sorry you are having this trouble.  I had never heard of this before.  I am hoping and praying this heals up for you very quickly.
