That's a med assistance site..  I thought I would post it in case someone could use this kind of assistance.. Good info, Babs, thanks!

As an aside, concerning the Patient Assistance Programs offered by most of the major drug companies, I was turned down for Cimzia because I am on disability. Even thought I am eligible for Medicare, (I have no drug coverage through Medicare and it does not pay on any doctor visits or drugs) and its secondary to my health insurance. If I only had regular health insurance, even with a drug program, I would have been eligible.

This really doesn't make any sense to me because I get no assistance with my RA from Medicare. When I asked if I were to only have Medicare would I then be eligible the answer was still no - anyone on any government assistance is not eligible. In my way of thinking and knowing just how little the government assistance can be, these are the people who could use the help the most.

I don't know if this is just Cimzia or all the companies, I've only applied to them.
