Looking for hand specialist | Arthritis Information

Hi,

I have RA (since 3/2006). On Enbrel and plaquenil. Last 12 months been getting worse. Now my hands hurt so much and one of my fingures is completely useless.

Currently seeing Occupational Hand Therapist. Not helping. Rheumatologist says 'nature of this disease'.

I need serious help or I will have to quit my job and move home.

Any suggestions of a hand specialist in MA? Preferrably south of boston. My finger can be passively bent, but I have been unable to bend it on my own for probably 8 months. Getting worse by the day. I am scared.

ask your occupational therapist for a recomendationI'd recommend visiting the websites of the upper echelon hospitals in Boston and researching the hand surgeons at each hospital. Their bios will be online. Good luck to you. THank you for your replies.

rab023 - can you please elaborate on your specific symptoms: how long, what limitations, pain level?
