I just finished my 4th IV of Rituxian. I had awful chills and asthma with the first dose. Asthma with the second - fourth dose. Since my last dose I have been having one asthma attack after another and a constant runny nose. I just went to the web site of the makers of the drug. www.gene.com. and found several people have died from this new drug. Have any of you tried Rituxan yet? If so what was your results. So far my RA is worse.I had a series of Rituxan injections 4 years ago. I had RA for approx 10 years when I developed ITP. ITP is treated with Rituxan so I tried it. Good news was, my RA went into remission for 15 months. In terms of side effects I had very few. The first injection was slow due to similar side effects as you but 2-4 went very smoothly. Hope it kicks in for you soon. Were you asthmatic before getting the Rituxin??? It sounds pretty serious. What does your doctor say about the side effects?  I dont think I would continue with a med that caused breathing problems, that sounds more like an adverse reaction than a side effect.i am not sure what kind RA you have. so you have to wait.

I had no asthma until I started this new drug. Thank you Crunchy and Mark for answering me.

Whats the deal with haishibuuuuu? Listein hasishuuuuuu go peddle whatever your selling on E-bay Never and I do mean never talk to or leave me a message again. Got ityou can wait this product proved. it won't be long. we are working on it. like now i even don't know what kind RA have.  I had not had asthma since I was very young (very mild case then). During the first infusion I had a mild wheezing and a slight feeling of itchiness. We paused the infusion for 15 minutes then all was well.  Your asthma is still with you?

I have breathing problems every day now. I now have to use a nebulizer. Durring the IV it was stopped three times so I could take breathing treatments. I have had bad RA flairs five days in a row now. I am worse now than begfore the IV's. I would not recomend the drug to anyone.

Wow, I guess this just clearly illustrates that not all treatments work for all people. I had a 15 month - 100% remission with Rituxan (haven't come close with any other treatment) and luv2beme get's worse. Hope you find your magic bullet soon luv2beme!!!
