My daughter is 21 and just recently diagnosed with AS. She does not have the gene. She does have bilateral sacroiliitis that showed up on a bone scan. Her rheumatologist put her on Remicade infusions- she has had 3. She could not tolerate methotrexate so he changed her to arava.
She has fibrolyalgia as a secondary to AS. Not much improvement in pain yet. Just some glimpses.
Any help or comments would be very appreciated!
