Yeh, I can hear ya!  Yes, I am deaf in one ear and I can hear music.  When it first started, I checked out the stereo's and CD players to be sure that none were left on.  And then I became concerned.  What if it's alzhiemers or worse?  I was afraid to tell anyone, not even my husband.  So I finally googled it and came up with some answers.  Check it out!  Of course it's another immune system disorder!  Wouldn't ya know it!

that is funny!!

I just get to hear constant crickets w/ my hearing issues...
GG,

I think it will be okay as long as it doesn't tune into "air america" or PBR.

PS, Is it music that you enjoy?
levlarry2010-07-08 12:59:58Lev, it is music of my generation along with silent night and patriotic songs.  I was just a little girl during WW11 and I so enjoyed the music of the 40's as well as the 50's.  I enjoy all music,  however I would love to hear Josh Grobin once in a while!  I can shut it off or change songs if I want to. I actually love it!  lol   It's with full orchestra too!  A looney immune system has it's pluses.

levlarry2010-07-08 15:57:12OMG, I am right back there with the Big Bands and the wonderful vocalists.  I hate to admit this, but I know the words to all of the songs.  The love songs bring back tons of wonderful memories.  Dancing with the big bands was so exciting!
Lev, thank you so much!   bump

PS.  If I ever have this problem, these are the songs I wouldn't mind hearing - I love big band sounds even if not my era!  Better this than heavy metal!  You bet it is Waddie and I am enjoying every minute of it!  Lev posted some great websites for music in the 40's to 60's, so check it out!   Like babs, i only hear crickets - boring - wd like some 60's music to kick in, or even some of Bruce Springsteen to liven me up on dull days  lol!  Ty for the links posted.  My left ear given trouble for years, and  I have just acquired a v. expensive set of hearing aids  :(  - had enuf expense with having RA
LorraineLorrie, how do you like your hearing aids?   Managing them pretty well - they are controlled by a hand-held remote control device as there is no way my fingers wd manage the teeny controls on the aids themselves.  Have had them for nearly 3 weeks now; go back Mon. of next week for a check-up.  The audiologist hooks everything up to her computer and tests & adjusts from there.  Just hve to remember not to jump into the pool, or spray my hair, while they are in
