Does anybody get this? | Arthritis Information

I have noticed after a long day, that when I get ready to rest that my hands have developed a pulse rate of there own. There doesn't even have to have joint pain to go along with it. Does anyone else get this? It feels so weird that I just want to cradle my hands together not that this fixes it but just feels better. I do get pain sometimes with it but it's not a all the time thing. I was also wondering if anyone uses knee braces to help with the pain and weakness in joints? I have both knees acting up this morning but only one is actually swollen. Do any of you find the braces helpful?Jayaz38799.2863078704

I wear braces every now and then. I try some resistance training to strenthen the muscles in and around the knee so I won't rely on the braces.  But my wrist do feel better when I wear the braces.

As for the hand pulse.  Don't think I pay much attention to it.  I guess the pain takes away from everything else.  I just try to rest up so I can get up, and do stuff.  Even if it is go to the bathroom...

I know when there is slight swelling, the areas that are swollen, it is like you pulse can be seen in the skin...like a little alien is about to jump out and get you!

 Jayaz,

I HAVE NOTICED THAT WHEN I LAY IN BED FOR THE NIGHTAND HAVE BEEN THERE FOR A FEW MINUTES, AFTER GETTING INTO A POSITION THAT I CAN RELAX, I SEEM TO GET THIS SORT OF VIBRATION, IT ALSO FEELS WEIRD, IT WASNT LIKE THIS AT FIRST BUT HAS PROGRESSED TO THE WHOLE BODY, I BELIEVE THEY ARE CALLED TREMORS, THEY ARE VERY SUTTLE AND ANNOYING. AT FIRST I USED TO THINK MY HUSBAND WAS MOVING AROUND IN THE BED, IT WAS NOT UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN I SEEN A TV PROGRAM ON RA THAT I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE VIBRATIONS AND TREMORS, I BELIEVE THEY SAID IT WAS FROM THE MUSCLE GROUPS BEING STRESSED AND OVER USE.

I WOULD POINT THIS OUT TO YOUR DOC AND SEE WHAT THEY SAY, JUST TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE OF THINGS.

If I am on my feet all day, I get it in my feet once I lay down. I think of it as more of a throbbing sensation. I could agree that it is pulsating. I always thought it was related to swelling.  Sometimes it has been pretty intense and actually painful.I work with my hands and I also get a throbbing pulsating feeling if I have over used them.  I get it in my feet as well, but that is more of an overall throb. When I'm lying in bed, I feel throbbing in my hands and feet. It's much more pronounced after I take metetrexate. Sometimes if I put my arms above my head, I feel numbness all the way down my arms. Glad to hear someone else has the same symptoms although I'm sorry. On a bad night, I feel it in my knees , hips and shoulders too.just got home from work, was on my feet for 9 hrs...THROB, THROB, THROB!!!!
