knees and toes... they hurt. I just got home from work and from the knees down I just hurt. I feel my feet just kind of pulsating, thump, thump, thump...to bad my chihuahuas dont know how to give foot massages!  The only good thing is that it has made me forget all about my neck/shoulder/back pain that has been bothering me for the past 2 weeks.  Although I did go to the chiropractor yesterday so that prob. helps. As long as I am whining, my left wrist hurts too and I dont know why. I mean besides having RA...  Isnt it funny that I still wonder why my joints hurt? Duh. This crazy weather here...It has been in the upper 70s all last week and now it is 44 degrees outside. They say in Houston if you dont like the weather just wait an hour. It is pretty much true. So, I am going to cuddle up here on the sofa and watch TV and read and just relax.  I wish I had a magic pill that worked as good for the RA pain as my muscle relaxer works for my neck and back muscular tension. I can literally feel it easing away the tightness. It is so relieving.  Like I said, too bad about the whole chihuahua thing... it could've been great! I have been feeling great since Monday.  But last night, my shoulders and neck started bothering me.  I couldn't sleep well.  I get like nerve pains in my shoulders.  I don't fee like I am having a flare.  I can barely lift my arms.  I had this last month, but thought I was on my way to feeling better.  It is why my sleep has been so bad.

Do you think it is a flare or is it possibly a nerve problem?  Do any of you experience this?  It is like a severe pain in both shoulders and lifting my arms is really difficult.  Rolling over in bed is very hard too.

That was some of the symptoms I was having with the RA. Right now my shoulders aren't to bad just minor stab pains when lifting them up. Maybe you should ask the doctor about it.

I worked 9 hours yesterday and came home with swollen knees and feet and hands. My husband about freaked out! He wants to know how something can attack a person out of the blue like this has. I don't know what to tell him. I have a few good days but more bad than good lately. To top it all off my son gave me his cold, he says I took it from him.

I'll have to try to get my pomeranians to do the foot massage thing I agree that would be great. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Lately for me it has also been shoulders, then add the wrists, hips, big time knees and ankles.  The weather maybe?

Everyone was just treating my RA and nothing for the OA until I had a Bone Scan done and there it was in all it's glory.  OA in the shoulders and hands along with RA, OA in the elbows, OA in the neck, OA/RA in the knee's and same in the ankles, OA in the lower spine and hip   Nobody took the time to see exactly what was going on with all the pain I was in, except my oncologist.  He ordered the Bone Scan.  Now I am on Sulindac (Clinoril) Arava and feeling 75% better.  The RA is still giving me fits, especially in my hands, which I was just informed of this past Friday that I have carpal tunnel in them because of the RA. But at least I can now distinquish between the different pains.  I think that's half the battle.

Good gravy, seems like we always have to fight something when auto-immune.

Here's hoping everyone is having a painfree night and a painfree Sunday.

The shoulder pain is really ringing bells!  I have the exact same thing!  My doc said I have tendonitis in my right shoulder too, and that's where the majority of the pain is, but lately I wake up with the stabbing pain, and I can't lift my arms (without crying) until a few hours after I've taken the meds.  My right foot is causing enough pain to make me limp too.  I'm in Omaha, NE right now on one of my last trips, but I'll be in Houston, TX twice in the next month... so I'll get a taste of that crazy weather.  I live in Savannah, GA and it's the same thing there.  Last week I was at the beach- this week you nearly need a winter coat.  (Of course I'd prefer that over the snowstorm we had here in Omaha!)  Time for one of those famous Omaha steaks.  Wish I could have a glass of red wine with it....  Hey Trish, what are you coming to Houston for? Work or play? Last night we set the record low of 36 degrees. Today we were at the ball field in shorts. Crazy is right!
