I am going back to Weigh Watchers on Saturday. I had a lot of success with them a few years ago and only gained the weight back because I totally just pigged out. The recent Prednisone episode only added to an already out of control situation. I have 35lbs to go to get healthy and 55lbs to go get sexy. I am aiming for 1 and then I will work on 2. I have done alot of research and talked to doctors and other nurses and the WW plan is just about the most nutritionally sound diet out there. If anyone would like to participate in a little weight loss support group it would be great. It would be nice to have support, motivation, tips, and a little bit of competition to drive me. Even if your not going to follow the WW plan it would still be good. I know of a few of yall that are trying to lose...lets help each other!!!

yes, that means nuking the pig will bring peace, love and happiness

Who isn't.

I'm in.  I have 30 pounds to get healthy and another 30 to get into normal size clothes.  I'm not unrealistic in my goals, a size 12 would be heavenly

I always do better with some help.

Count me in

I'm on pred - and I'm in. Not drawn to sweets, but to peanut butter. I
could eat a jar a day. Odd craving, isn't it? I'd LOVE to drop 30 lbs. I want to get in on this.  I am already watching my diet.  Since I got so sick, I moved to eating as many raw/fresh foods as possible.  When I can't cook because of pain, I live on apples, bananas and sugar snap peas.  I keep those kinds of foods around for snacks between real meals too.

I love food, but I am so scared of this disease and prednisone that I am willing and determined to do anything to keep myself healthy.  I don't have a specific number in mind, but I want to cultivate habits that are life lasting.  I am going to have this RA for the rest of my life and I want to be sure my relationship with food doesn't make it worse.

p.s.   I have noticed since I changed my diet how every commercial is about food and giagantic over-portioned meals.

I've been doing very well this past week.  Tempted a few times but I didn't give in.  I've lost 4.5 lbs but would like to lose 10lbs.  The nice weather is almost here, so that's given me some incentive.  We can do it!!
