Police again......... | Arthritis Information

I had to call the police again last night because we had a prowler. This time they left footprints in the snow and came up on the porch.

I sure do grow weary of this but I guess that is the point the prowler wants to make. The police then did a sweep through this morning and will be watching the area......

I guess there is someone out there with waaaay too much time on their hands, if it is a teen I sure wished their parents would gain control over their kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Badbones, How awlful for you. Is your place well lit?  We have an automatic sensor that turns on lights if someone approaches our house. I'm sorry you had a bad night. That's the last thing you need. It's hard enough getting to sleep when it's quiet.I was robbed a few years back.  It was so terrifying living alone with my daughter.  I feel your pain.  I hope it is just some stupid kids.  Be safe and keep some mace at your bed or something.  I hate feeling in danger or violated. Badbones,  That is awful.  Maybe you should get some spotlights.  They probably won't have the nerve to do it lit up and ask the police to patrol in the middle of the night?  Do you have close neighbors?  Tell them about it and ask if they would keep an eye out.  Mace/Pepper spray may be a good idea too.  Do you live alone?  I am so sorry you have to deal with this.  Wouldn't it be great to catch a kid doing it and give him a good scare

It is a shame I did not get a better look. The time will come when they will mess up that is for sure. I resecured all the windows and doors Whoever it was  probably was trying to get a glimpse of my daughter in her room in the basement. That is not a problem though, I set a trap near her window and blocked it from the inside......is this still America I live in or did something happen while I was asleep? A person cannot even have their privacy in their own home without someone walking on your property.

It was  probably just the "bafoon" neighbor kid again, he has been picked up for going into new homes.

When I asked around the neighborhood today they said they were having the same problem and they have been keeping their lights on as well most of the time.....a lot of good that does! At least the police know and have several reports.

Oh My Gosh,  We just had the same problem!!! But we did something that they never expected.  My husband is a big hunter ( We live in Arkansas) He has a game camera . If you haven't heard of them , it is a camera with a motion sensor and takes pictures in day or night. They cost around 0 at Wal-Mart. ... Anyway we placed the camera in our backyard , It comes with a cable to secure it to a tree or somewhere , We used the chain link fence .  When they came in yard the camera took their picture.  I am sure the flash scared the mess out of them !!

If it was the teen boy, than he is a total idiot for causing so much trouble over and over again. He is 14 and the last time I talked to his parent, all they would say was that "he is only 14"  whoa bubb, are you waiting until he is 16 and robs someplace and lands in a high security prison?

Not my problem. My responsibility is to notify the police when someone gets on my property. The camera sounds like a good idea, thanks for the input. Sure seems like there ought to be a better solution.......like this is my property...KEEP OFF!

The footprints gave it away, for obvious reasons. Good thing I stay up late most nights. I guess next time I will just have to scare the bajeezies out of 'em.

I do need to mention:I AM TOO OLD TO PUT UP WITH THIS  CRAP!!!!!!!

I gotta tell ya though, if one hair on my daughter's head is harmed in any way they will be sorry they ever came near my address. She has been through enough tragedy this year.

bb  (today inclusive of  "badbones", the letters seem to have taken on another meaning as well ...as in.... BIG BI*** )

Goodness,   Does this happen often?  Have you any idea who it may be?

Please, Please be careful.  I was mugged on my own porch with a porch light on...I will never forget that.  Course my then open porch is now enclosed and opens to my dinning room, so I can see who is coming up the walkway.

I hope they find out who it is, so you can breath easier.

YIKES! I hope you catch them - or that they have the sense to
keep away when they see the police coming around. Good luck & be
safe.

BB-my husband is an avid hunter and we have several guns, my daughter is a skilled marksman as well-want up to come and put a load of buckshot in that prowlers behind for you? (Ill bring my attack chihuahuas along too)

Years ago when I was first married and had no kids, my husband used to work nights. I would sleep in the living room with the deer rifle next to me. He would laugh at me when he would come home in the morning and see all 4'10" of me curled up with that gun that was almost as long as I was tall.  I dont get scared like that anymore, but I have dogs in the house now. They are small, but they sure can make noise and they hear things that even I cant hear.

My husband was in a small grocery store that got robbed and he was held at gunpoint. For a long time after he was very paranoid in our own home and yard.  I know that things like that are scary. You just have to get pissed off. Dont let those jerks take your feeling of security and ability to relax in your own home.  You should consider a dog. They are good deterents and they really offer comfort when you are home alone--even if just to have someone to talk to. (and dont any of you make fun-you know you converse with the dog, cat, bird, fish, etc. when you are home alone!)
