Hello! I have been diagnosed with RA a month and a half ago and currently are on 5 mg. of prednisone (down from 10)  and 4 pills of mtx on Saturdays. I feel so good! I have no pain at all, can wear my high hill shoes and run with my baby girls. But I am thinking that this feeling can change any moment. How did it work out for you? Is it better in the beginning but then goes back to being painful again? How soon? I almost don't feel like I have RA! Just memories of me not being able to get up without help...

I know the feeling!!  My RA became evident when my second daughter was a month old. (I was 25.)  After getting to the right doctor, I went into remission after about a month.  It lasted seven years and this was almost 40 years ago before all the new meds!  My point is, YOURS COULD DO THE SAME!  Having a baby definitely gives you the will and stamina to fight RA.  With today's medicine you should be able to keep up with the baby.  Just stay in contact with your doctor....I'M HAPPY FOR YOU AND GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE!!
