Has anyone had any type of pain injection for deep hip pain that radiates to the buttocks? I know this type ofp ain is common in AS- Just curious if anyone has had success with any pain treatment- even ultrasound for this type pain.

Hi- my question was answered by my daughter's physician. They can give injections into the SI joint but they do it using a CT scan and fluorscope. Must be done in a hospital settting by an anesthesiologist. I also got some good answers on another board- many people have them done and they get relief from them! So that was very encouraging!
