looking for answers for a friend | Arthritis Information

Hey  about the time I was dx with PMR in 2/10  a neighbor of mine was also going thru similar problems  she and I actually found our way to the same Arthritis clinic in Boston  but different docs   she  still does not have a definitve diagnosis and since she is not a computer person I'd like to post her symtoms to see if anyone out there has any ideas

so her symptoms started with severe joint pain in her hands, wrists knees  toes  and feet
she never had the nighttime roll over pain and difficulty getting out of bed like PMR  has no trouble putting arms over head or hooking bra (who knew it could be so equisitely painful)
she has never had the numbing fatigue or fevers but complains of an on again off again rash that consists of quarter sized red blotchy areas over all extremities  she is on prednisone  and does feel better  but I know someone out there  has the answer she is looking for   thanks  to all!
Parker

One vital bit of information missing  - age please.
she  is close to my age  Im going to say  around 56 or soParker

I have just been reading the latest magazine from Arthritis Today.

I would visit www.arthritisresearchuk.org and check out the website.  It sound like a form of arthritis whose name I cannot remember.
Parker, you may want to check out Psoratic Arthritis.  If I remember right there are other types of auto-immune diseases that can cause a rash to such as lupus but I think this is normally in the shape of a butterfly.

Hope your friend finds some answers soon.  Remember that just because blood work comes back with normal results doesn't mean there isn't something brewing.  My blood work has always shown normal but my body seems to always have inflammation.  Even RA can be present without a positive RA test.
