Anyone know what the normal levels of corticorsterods are in the body? I want to know how long and what Mg I need to be at before I can stop taking the prednisone?I don't know what the normal levels are, but if you've been on cortisteroids any length of time, you need to wean very slowly until you get down to .5 mg a week. Once you're down to that, two or three weeks at that level should be good until you can kiss it goodbye. I weaned by .5 mgs == and i spent a month at each level. Weaning too fast is trouble.
