I came on here today after another 2 days of feeling nauseated and too tired to get dressed yesterday. I realise this has been going on for months.....
MTX Thursday PM..
Friday feel nauseated , feverish and fatigued. Take 3 Maxalon during the day/night.
Saturday stay in bed, too tired to even shower, nauseated and feverish. More maxalon.
Sunday am still nauseated and feverish but get up and shower and as the day goes on OK!
Monday thru to Thursday. Mornings slow, slightly nauseated and feverish off and on BUT otherwise OK!
I have just read Sydney Peaches Post below. We got PMR about the same time. I was planning to ask my Dr if I could / should go off MTX or/and Plaquenil?...........................
I went off the meth after 2yrs, had a real decline(got worse) in PMR and general health, then after some mths restarted meth until this Feb. Liver was as fine as it could be tested through blood tests, and i am now on pred 2 1/2mgm.
When I asked rheumy to cease meth, I felt i was really good PMR-wise but was feeling tired and nauseated on meth day. This was not always the case, but seemed to increase as i got well. He asked me what I had learned through this PMR and my answer was......
to contact him re dosage of pred etc, when i felt my life was going in a hole. To trust him, and not think he was this bad man just trying to get drugs into me, and to realise that if we cannot participate in life then our dosage is not correct.

Great answer Jen, I may just have to borrow it! I am not participating in life at weekends.
I see Rheumy on August 17th.
In the meantime I was planning to do the following:
Maybe drop MTX from 15mg to 10mg?
Take more folic acid? Currently on 5mg 5 a week.
Take Plaquenil on alternate days? Is this drug doing anything??
I'm still on 5mg Pred. I do not want to drop Pred as my shoulders and tops of arms are painfull, almost feels like I have a frozen shoulder in my Left shoulder.
Maybe Pred needs upping? Uggghh!
My last ESR & CRP were still elevated. I have blood work done just before my next appt.
My osteoporosis fractures are still hurting. Tramadol 100mgSR twice a day for this.
I should not be hurting anywhere with the number of drugs I take BUT... I do!!
Is this as good as it gets????
