Everything looks gloomy for me now...
Each one of us is different so we all have different stories, and we can't predict your future any better than can your doctors.  The advantage you have over some who were diagnosed (dx'd) many years ago is that the more modern medications are far more effective.  Hopefully you have been dx'd quickly before the R. Arth. has had time to do too much damage, and that you have access to the best medication for you.  What is good for some, causes reactions in others, so don't be disappointed if you hve to be switched from one type of med. to another.

In my case, I found the first couple of years were the worst - trying to cope with the fact I had this chronic disease;  but these internet news groups were not around as much then, and when I found them, were a great help.  Try to keep a positive attitude.  Hope your treatment is effective.  Remember, there are no miracle drugs, but some that will ease your pain and help slow down the disease.  We look forward to hearing about what you have been prescribed, and how you are coping.

Hello Moody,  I understand that things might look gloomy.  I was just diagnosed with RA in July, after some months of pain and swelling in hands and feet.  I still cannot walk very well, or very far.  But there is good hope, many of the people here report that with the proper medicines, they live without any symptoms for many years.  It often seems that it is a combination of medicines, sometimes one to treat the pain and swelling, and another to prevent the RA cause to do less damage.  My understanding of these various medicines is not yet very good, but please work with your doctor to figure out what medicines are best for you.  Again, there is good hope, many people here report that it all gets better.

Thanks guys for your replies...

I feel like, I am losing mobility...I am thinking twice before doing any thing like running, jumping, going by stair case..

I dont have any swelling till now..

At present i am taking ayurvedic medicine..and i feel that pain subsided...

My parents are forcing me to get married..But because of this condition, i have post poned my decision indefinitely...

Hope God helps us all...Moody,  This disease is so different for everyone it seems.  Mine comes and goes.  Sometimes the pain and stiffness really controls what I do, I don't like those days, but I really appreciate the good days.  I figure that this is what I have and I need to learn to make peace with it.

I think that the ayurvedic way is a very good choice, but it is a big commitment.  I use alternative medicine, (Amazon jungle herbs) and they helps greatly.
Best of luck with it.  Namaste

The pain will continuously hit your brain and then you can consult your physician. If you have a arthritis, take a proper medications to reduce a pain!

Firstly, there are no doctors on this site, therefore we can't give you a diagnosis. All RA's are not created equally - therefore you could be mild, moderate or severe. Your best course is to find a good rheumatologist who can treat you for your disease.RA - chances made your life healthy
