So took my brother to the GP. I have never met his GP before.

She was in shock over how much weight he lost. This is a good thing he was 290 lbs. He weighed in at 231lbs. So bravo!

No I do not starve him to death. I had the shrink change his medicine that was the biggest part of it. Prior to that I had put him on diet soda and take him for an occassional walk.

He is a picky eater but he drinks about a gallon of orange juice a week. I make him eat a banana a day and drink one bottle of water a day. Then I let him choose what he wants to eat the rest of the day.

So we went down my list of problems and her previous list of problems. I said he needed a nasal inhaler for allergies. He had an insurance problem with his prilosec it was a quanity problem and needed changed to 40 mg once a day instead of 20 mg twice a day.

I had her change his bloodpressure pill because he acted wierd on the he had been taking. So far so good on the new pill. I hated to raise his phsyc meds just to compensate for a bloodpressure pill. I wonder how many years he had been on it before any of us noticed it as a problem? I mean when a person with a mental health issue acts like they have a mental health issue do people look for a cause or just assume they are getting worse and raise thier meds?

She asked if he was still vomiting? I said "No, my sons observation was that he was lactose intollerant." So we took him off dairy and he stopped vomiting. I said "Well sometimes it takes us a while to figure things out."

I mean he saw a surgeon and has reflux and he had a gallstone so it took us a bit to notice the dairy thing. We thought oha gallstone. Until he had his gallbladder removed we did not think to look for other problems.

So the doctor was pleased. Very pleased. She ran his bloodwork and called with the great news. His liver enzymes are down to only one point above normal! Awesome.

This is why hard work pays off. So no it was not easy. I have his health both mental and physical stable. Horray! LOL Even his insurance problems.

I have meant to go with to his GP for a long time. Just the past few times did not fit my schedual. Mom seems to forget things so the prilosec, actually it is the generic form, issue has been a long time problem. Just like when you keep forgetting the dishsoap when you go to the store.

Edited because my space bar is sticking. Very annoying.
