Saline solution questions? | Arthritis Information

I know with eye drops for Sjorgren's you want to stay away from preservatives. What about saline solution?

I buy fresh bottles regularly because it is cheap. I notice that it is good for about three years. No way would I use that old of a bottle. So it has to have preservatives in it. Just wondering if it is defeating the purpose intended.

Do they make saline solution without preservatives?

I just found my bottle. I had been a bit lazy about finding it. Busy and lazy. I probably put it up when my toddler niece was over and I have to remember I am high mantainance.

Well I have the Nasonex also. Such a pain sometimes to be always putting eye drops in and nasal sprays. Not really if I can keep track of the bottles. Well like I said sometimes the kids come over and when i put the bottles out of sight I tend to forget how important it is.

The last three different doctors I have been to have been sick. I wanted to run screaming from my ENT his eyes were watery and a runny nose.

My nurse practitioner I told her to go see a doctor. She said are you warm enough these rooms are freezing. Poor baby she had the chills. I told her that antispasmotics were what gave me the most comfort with the flu virus I had already picked up at the GP's office.

I think I will ask my GP to start calling things in for me. LOL I hit some wrong button and so my text is different. Lost my page but I found it.

So I really do not want to see my nuerologist anymore. Not because of him but because of the patients in the waiting room.

Oh my. Some of the patients are being investagated for meth use ect. So this woman says that DCFS is investagating her which she thinks is rediculas because her son is 17 years old. The woman is covered in little bruises. She said the bruises are from the bugs that make her itch so.

A friend of mine was sitting next to her and got up and came and sat by me. LOL She did not want to catch any bugs. My son said there are no bugs that the people on meth just think they are being attacked by bugs.

I guess drug addictis need pain relief just as much as the rest of us. Sigh. I worry about catching hep C not imaginary bugs. I suppose she could have scabbies but really she had no rashes just little bruses all over her body. She was waring a sleeveless shirt and shorts.

Someone in the waiting room once did say they had hep C. Not sure if it was bug lady or not. So I am going to ask my GP that scince I have anxiety disorder if he can elimanate some of these waiting rooms for me.

If not am going to remember to use my saline solution first then some vasoline and a mask. Gloves and a mask or maybe a ventalater with a mask under it.
