My sons best friends daughter was hit by a car while riding her bike. She is 16 years old. She woke up today but has slurred speach and motor skill trouble memory problems. So we have no way of knowing the extent of the damage or the outcome. With brain injuries it is a wait and see. praying

I hope she is alright also. She was in a coma for about four days. Someone was supposed to tell us that she was in an accident and forgot. The person that forgot did not know how serious it was or how much of a part of our lives this girl is. So I guess we missed a few days of worring.

Rusty I am glad you are a miricle. Someone must have gotten you to the right place at the right time. If people can get to the specialist with an anerisym [check spelling] they have a better chance these days with modern science. Still it is a miricle even if you get to the right place at the right time. The same issue applies with strokes. They make better medicine for strokes these days but still a specialist is the way to go with a stroke you always want to go to a hospital that specializes in strokes.

Well we are praying for our young lady and waiting to see how she is when some of the swelling goes down. She is of course still in the ICU.
