Vasculitis / blood blister things | Arthritis Information

Well, I had posted a while back regarding "blood type blisters".   We all were a bit confused by them.   Well, as I found out today via my foot specialist (I guess I have had a gout thing in my foot the past week).  Anyway... what he saw on my leg were two large type blood blisters and asked how long I had them and who was treating me for it.   I was confused to say the least.   He stated that it was defiantly Vasculitis and I needed to contact my RD right away.   Good thing for me I have my RD appointment tomorrow.   Now I get to do my regular whine and complain with a 1/2 casted foot with gout, and these wonderful other symptoms.

Dose it ever end?   Geez...   My diseases are catching up to my medications.

Thank you ALL for letting me vent.

Olive...sounds like you had a rough time with all this...good luck tomorrow at your appointment.Looking at your list of conditions hurts. I hope your appt. with the doctor does some good, Olive. It's shocking how many things can go wrong. Good luck! Olive good luck tomorrow. Sorry you're having so much trouble.  You have more than your fair share of autoimmune complications.Okay hobble-along! Hope you get some resolution at the RDs office. Good luck and hang in there!

Starting yesterday I was having this "stinging" pain in my left shin. Got worse last night...but it's some better today. I keep telling my husband it felt like it was coming from my veins. I looked up Vasculitis and I'm wondering now could this me my problem. No visable symptom...veins in my shins do seem to be buldging some.

Can you share anymore information on this condition with us? Mine is painful; especially when I stand on it.

Well it seems that it could be Vasculitis.   However, in order to totally confirm this disease there is a ALOT of blood tests (which my PCP will run on Tuesday oh by the way I get my bone scan results then too hopefully) and I will need to have a skin biopsy done on the sores / leasions/blisters on my legs.   She seem to be more concerned with the stress fracture and gout  that I had in my foot.    That happened two weeks ago and I am still lightly casted.    Can't win for lossing is right.  :o)   But, you have to take it all with a laugh right?  Otherwise we would all be my crazier than what we are.

If you are interested in learning more about the vasculitis I will try to post a link that I found some information on http://www.rheumatology.org/public/usatoday/vasculitis.asp
