remicade? | Arthritis Information

I have taken methotrexate and enbrel now for about 8 years, they have worked good sometimes have flares but was told that was normal, has not limited me in much of anything.

This past year has not been that way, somedays it is like I was before I got diagnosed. I am now facing the decsion of I want to change enbrel to remicade, it is a hard decisison for me.

I have also found out recently that my thryoid level is low and am being treated for it, it has made a big differecnce in my skin, the cracks on my heels are all gone, my quesiton is I have heard lack of thyroid can also cause more joint aches and muslce aches, and I am wondering if this is what is cuasing this and not the enbrel working.

I am truthfully afriad of IV's but if that is what i need it will, I work in a health room at school and am at home now with the crud going around and am afraid on remicade I would be more apt to get more viures than on enbrel but not sure.

Would love to hear from people on remicacde,any side effects, how long does it work, anyone on it after failing enbrel and could the thryoid be the curlpit not the Ra.
