Sure am glad I'm in FloridaSo did you watch the morning show? LOL My Mom called to say we were under a watch. At 6 a.m. .

I told maybe to call me when it is a warning other wise I was going to take her cable away from her. No I do not have the power to take away my Moms cable. Just an empty threat.

Then I said if you need to wake someone up wake up my sister she has kids to send to school and a job to go to.

So she says I tried she said to wake her up in thirty minutes. LOL I told her I would cut her some slack because the wind was blowing so hard I was sort of awake anyway. I was however trying very hard not to be.

So the storms hit around 8 I think. My son said the rain was coming down harder then even in Texas. I guess we had the most rain per minute that my son can recall seeing at one time.

I did not get out of bed to look at it. I am feelling a bit under the weather so I took his word for it.
Battan down the hatches Lev, We got our storms early this morning.  High winds all night and the rain came somewhere between 4 - 5:30ish this morning.  I woke up to see bright lights and some flashing lights on the front side of my neighbor's home; our houses are back to back.  It was the fire dept lighting up the street so they could see to cut a tree to pieces to remove it from the road.  Come to find out, after getting dressed and walking over there to be nosey, a tree between two houses fell (roots and all right out of the ground) onto a main road and as the tree was falling a man was driving to work.  As the tree hit the ground he drove right into it.  The Big Man upstairs was watching over that man this morning!  Had he approached one or two seconds earlier it would have come down on top of the roof of his car and killed him.  That made me stop and think about how quick my life could be over!  Truly in the bink of an eye.    I have to live each day to the FULLEST from here on out!

I hope none of you are dealing with damage from the storms.

I'm familiar with those storms Lev
I spent 20 minutes in the basement of the med lab this morning waiting out the tornado warning.....

After that, the storms moved through pretty fast.  Now the sun is shining and the big, bad wind is still blowing.

Hopefully, it will get rid of the last of my leaves The winds here in the Chi-town area seem to have died down a bit this evening.  Lots of debris, tree branches, etc in the streets this morning!

They are lining up for us...Tornado watch until 3am.

Well,

I see my "Bing" weather map disappeared. The storms sure looked mean in the map but with great anticipation, I was very disappointed. We had some rain, not alot, no thunder, no lightening and not really strong winds. What looked very exciting turned out to be very boring. I think these weather people make the very most out of the very least.

LEV
We are having unusually warm weathers.. not sure if it has come from the West or the South.. but blustery and warm with rain.. Nothing near tornado warnings up in the northern mid atlantic area .....  thank goodness.

All of you.. be careful.. and pay heed..
